01 Jun Judgement
Good now. Happy this moment. I really believe judgment is one of the most destructive weapons we as human beings use on each other. I’m guilty as well. Assumptions are based on our own beliefs and experiences and may not accurately reflect the truth of someone else’s life view, choices or beliefs. Even those who have great insight into another do not know the whole story, the influences. We are called, if we cannot walk in another’s shoes, to at least accept and respect their closet and shoe choices and support their growth and changing style. Do not judge what type of shoes they wear, but rejoice in the wearing. To judge is to separate ourselves. We are each part of the grand necklace of life. Let me love each bead on the strand for its unique beauty and experience, to appreciate what it took to get there and how it completes and complements the rest. Be receptive to understanding and accepting differences. In the bigger picture, we are so much the same. – Jody Doty
